Melbourne · new, still adding places
Find kid-friendly restaurants and cafes with play areas near you
Good places to go with kids are hard to find. They're not well-covered on Google Maps and the lists floating around are mostly out of date. This is parents adding what they know.
Small cafes and play centres live on word of mouth. If you've been somewhere good, adding it here puts it on the map for every Melbourne parent searching this weekend.

Questions
What is this?
A map of cafes, restaurants and venues in Melbourne where the kids can actually play — not just sit nicely. Places are added by parents who've been there. It's free to use and free to add to.
How do I find somewhere near me?
Type your suburb or postcode into the search bar. You can also filter by type — indoor playgrounds, spots next to a public playground, outdoor run areas, and so on.
What counts as a "play area"?
We cover five types: indoor playgrounds built inside the venue, on-site kids' equipment, venues right next to a public playground, outdoor run areas, and dedicated play centres. Each place is tagged so you can filter.
Can I add a place?
Yes — that's the whole point. No account needed. Use the Add page — takes seconds. We check each submission before it goes live.
How do I know the info is right?
Places are added by parents who've visited. If something looks outdated — hours changed, play area removed — hit the Report button and we'll sort it.
What parts of Melbourne are on here?
All of Greater Melbourne, but honestly some suburbs have more coverage than others right now. If your area is thin, adding a place or two would make a real difference.
Is it free?
Yes. Browsing, searching, adding places, leaving reviews — all free.
Do venues pay to be listed?
No. Every listing was added by a parent, not the venue. We don't take money for listings.
Know a spot? Add it.
Your listing helps another family find somewhere good on Saturday — and gives a small local business the kind of exposure it can't buy. Free, takes seconds.
